Abu Dhabi/Paris (January 12, 2014) – The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has appointed Christophe Kloeti as the Head of Trade Finance in France. The appointment highlights NBAD’s expanded international activities.
NBAD- Paris serves as one of the Bank’s eight hubs serving NBAD’s West-East Corridor strategy, and it would serve customers in France and North Africa in line with the Bank’s strategy to enable trade and commerce in the increasingly important economies spanning from West Africa across to East Asia.
“North Africa, France, and the Gulf share a long and deep commercial relationship which is poised to increase. NBAD is committed to facilitate and be a major enabler of commercial and trade,” says Fadi Halout, the NBAD Country CEO – France.
Before joining NBAD, Mr. Kloeti was responsible for trade finance activities at Commerzbank Paris for five years. He has also worked for COFACE and Société Générale. His experiences have allowed him to develop strong knowledge of corporate strategy, forfaiting finance, risk management, cash management, and corporate finance products in general.
“Christophe Kloeti’s experiences and skills will strengthen NBAD’s strong position in our markets,” says Mr. Falout.

In addition to Paris, NBAD will have hubs to serve its wholesaling clients in Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Lagos, London, Mumbai, Singapore, and Washington, D.C; each covering a different geographical area.
Mr. Kloeti holds a master’s degree in Engineering and Business Strategy International (ESSEC business school).
